The # 1 Way to Get More Email Subscribers

You probably already know that building a list of loyal email subscribers is one of the best ways to build your business and bring in more income.

Having a subscriber list of people who know, like, and trust you is an invaluable asset – particularly in these uncertain times.

But growing your list is challenging, especially if you don’t get a lot of traffic to your site. It’s difficult to convince people to hand over their email address, and every time someone unsubscribes, it can feel like a shot to the heart.

The best piece of advice I have for business owners who are struggling to build their lists is:

Give people a reason to sign up, by giving them something in exchange.

I’m talking about things like free reports, checklists, digital downloads, or e-books that you can offer as gifts to people who subscribe.

These gifts are called “lead magnets,” and they can truly be one of the most valuable assets for your business.

Here’s an example of one of my lead magnets, so you can see the kind of offer I’m talking about.

But when I coach people and advise them to create lead magnets and offer them on their sites, it often leads to a lot of head scratching.

People get stuck a LOT during this process.

Many people never actually put a lead magnet on their site, even though they know it can help them get more subscribers and build their businesses.

So today, I want to ask you a question:

If you’re not giving away a lead magnet yet – if you haven’t created one, or you don’t offer it anywhere on your website – what’s getting in your way?

What’s stopping you from taking this important step?

I want to know where you’re getting stuck, so I can help you get unstuck.

Tell me about your lead magnet struggles in the comments of this post.

  1. Hi Beth,

I certainly know I need a lead magnet! However, trying to come up with something that I really think has value has been challenging. More than likely I am making this MUCH harder than it is. I just need to get something out there, see how it does and I can always change it if I need to. Thanks for this little nudge. 🙂

    Take care,
    Karen

    1. This is a really common problem, Karen – it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by your options when you’re trying to decide what to create!
